- Abstract
This article announces the recipient of the Theodore C. Hines Award for 2004. The Hines Award is the highest honor given by the American Society of Indexers (ASI). The award will be presented to Robert J. Palmer, one of the founding member of the ASI. As the American honorary correspondent to the Society of Indexers in the 1960s, Palmer instituted talks that led to the formation of ASI as a serious organization. The Hines Award will be presented on May 13, 2003 at the Opening Conference Dinner and Award Ceremony of the organization's Annual Conference in Alexandria, Virginia.
