A case study of a 14-year-old female patient with chest pain following repair of an atrial septal defects (ASD) with an amplatzer occluder is presented; echocardiogram revealed a significant pericardial effusion with signs of tamponade and repairing of ASD with a polytetrafluroethylene patch.
