A literary criticism of the novel "If I Forget Thee, Jerusalem" (originally called "The Wild Palms"), by William Faulkner, is presented. Topics include the relation of money to the character Harry Wilbourne and his love affair with character Charlotte Rittenmeyer, the influence of Faulkner's work as a film screenwriter on his writing, and the thought of philosopher Theodore W. Adorno on art.
