- Abstract
The essay examines the politics surrounding Trotskyism within Belarus during the late 1920s. Details are given noting the significant efforts of the Belorusssian Communist Party (KPB) to purge opposition holding to the views of Soviet theorist Lev Trotskii beginning in 1927. Topics addressed include the role of Jewish ethnicity within the opposition, the discrepancy between the size and influence of the opposition, and the economic conditions of Belarus during the mid 1920s.
