This is despite some of the diseases being much more frequently seen in childhood or having different disease courses when compared with adults (Figure 1). Current treatment regimens are extrapolated from adult studies,althoughitisencouragingtoseerecruitmentofpaediatric patients to recent vasculitis trials. This needs careful consideration when managing children with immune-mediated renal diseases, as the disease, and its treatment, may result in long-lasting health effects into adulthood.
