- Abstract
The study was to study the antioxidant activities of four different medicinal parts of radix, stem, branch and leaf of Picrasma quassioides in vitro. DPPH method, ABTS method and Prussian blue method were used to determine the in vitro antioxidant capacity of four different medicinal parts: root, stem, branch and leaf. The results showed that four medicinal parts had good antioxidant capacity in vitro, and the leaves of Picrasma quassioides had the strongest antioxidant activity. In the antioxidant evaluation of ABTS method, the activity of Picrasma quassioides leaves was significantly higher than that of control group VC (P<0.05), showed a strong antioxidant ability. The scavenging ability of stem on DPPH and ABTS was better than that of root. The reduction ability of the root and the stem on iron ions was similar, and the antioxidant activity of branch was the weakest. The experiment indicates that there are differences in antioxidant activities of different parts of herb, and all of them can be used as antioxidant stress agents in animal production.
