- Abstract
The article discusses the influence that Scots have on British politics. Most Scottish prime ministers had previously been Cabinet ministers. The author comments that Scots were primarily Liberals but were poorly represented in the British Parliament. Member of Parliament (MP) Tam Dalyell comments on how policies by Scottish Health Secretary John Reid caused resentment from English politicians and discusses the careers of former prime ministers Andrew Bonar Law and Henry Campbell-Bannerman.
