- Abstract
The process of cooling of circulating water in miniature cooling towers with roll packing possessing a rough surface is considered. The specific surface of the corrugated surface is 250 m/m. The hydraulic characteristics of the packing over a broad range of water and air flow rates are presented. Expressions for calculating the thermal efficiency of the cooling tower and the results of a calculation of the hydraulic and heat and mass exchange characteristics with elevated flow rates of the cooled water to 60 m/(m·h) are given. The advantages of a miniature cooling tower with roll packing are demonstrated.
