Posthumous Queer: Hemingway Among Others.
- Authors
Altman, Meryl
- Abstract
Presents literary criticism of the book "The Garden of Eden" by Ernest Hemingway, which was published posthumously. A version of the work that was edited and abridged by editor Tom Jenks of the publishing company Scribner is discussed. The author suggests that Jenks likely omitted the most sexually explicit and controversial aspects of the book. The book's themes of gender reversal, bisexuality, lesbianism, and androgyny are explored.
