- Abstract
This article aims to make a contribution from the South, thinking of bridges that, from a critical and Latin American perspective, doubly transversalize educational systems from an environmental and intercultural education approaches. Based on a qualitative approach, secondary sources that are central to both fields of education were reviewed and analyzed. The systematizations based on the aforementioned productions resulted in a total of ten attributes and / or theoretical requirements in the proposal of the double transversalization of the educational system. In practical terms, the fulfillment of these attributes would allow us to account how close or how far our educational systems are from transversalizing or being transversalized in the proposed double challenge. These attributes apply as conditions to be reviewed based on what exists and / or as requirements to design future policies that think prospectively of our educational systems. The article ends with a question that, far from concluding, wonders why we prefer an education that promotes a way of life so contrary to life itself.
