- Title
Population-Wide Generalizability of Genome-Wide Discovered Associations.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the replication study by H. Yamada and colleagues of prostate cancer risk loci in a sample of Japanese participants. The study examined the single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in Japanese participants that had been identified in the genome-wide association studies (GWAS) era. It describes the ability of SNP in detecting the odds ratios (ORs). It emphasizes the need to replicate and validate again the use of GWAS as markers for prostate cancer.
