- Abstract
Objective Through investigating the curriculum and teaching method of Hat Yai Medical Education Center of Thailand, explore the general practitioner training model of Thailand. Methods Forty Thai graduates were investigated about course satisfaction and willingness to apply by questionnaires. In-depth interviews were conducted among directors of the teaching. Results The proportions of course satisfactions about the content of curriculum, the mastering of knowledge and skills, the articulation of programs, the teaching goals and the proportion of basic course and specialized course were 59%, 74.4%, 79.5%, 51.3% and 30.8%, respectively. 69.2% students chose to apply due to devote themselves to national primary health services. Conclusion The schools should adjust course in general medical curriculum and student-centered teaching. By forcing the service plan, and the selection system can increase the interview. It can choose the student that grassroots service for a long time.
