- Abstract
The author reflects on the concerns to increase the awareness of pediatricians on the effects of increased ionizing radiation exposure to children. They state that the interventional radiology and fluoroscopic imaging are beneficial to diagnosis and treatment but it has late effect of radiation exposure in children. They mention the characteristics of children that increased the risks of radiation exposure including the rapid dividing cells, sensitivity to radio-carcinogenesis, and smaller size.
