- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 32-year-old Syrian woman with congenital afibrinogenaemia inherited through a consanguineous relationship. She was diagnosed having a homozygous frameshift mutation in exon, which has been described the most C-terminal causative FGA mutation identified in afibrinogenaemic patients. The case demonstrates the patient's successful pregnancy under fibrinogen substitution in a congenital afibrinogenaemia complicated by a postpartum venous thrombosis.
