- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 68 year old woman with a history of laparoscopic surgery for a gallbladder polyp. It mentions she underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy screening that revealed a slightly elevated 2-mm yellowish lesion in the cervical inlet patch; and also mentions the etiology of gastrointestinal xanthomas remains unclear; however, mucosal damage and chronic injury are believed to be associated with gastrointestinal xanthomas pathogenesis.
