- Abstract
The study aims to identify the actual reality of sexual harassment of children in Saudi society to conclude preventive measures that contribute to reducing it. The Paper is an analytical descriptive study using the social survey method by means of comprehensive enumeration and sample of clinical social workers and family counselors who deal with cases of harassment. The study reached a series of results, the most important of which was that the age group subjected most to harassment from the point of view of clinical social workers is the category of 5 to less than 10 years by 48%, and that most cases of harassment are from relatives from the point of view of advisers. As for the preventive measures to reduce child molestation, a number of measures have been concluded. The most important of these are the issuance of regulations and laws with clear, specific and deterrent procedures that contribute to reduce this problem, to enlighten parents with educational methods to deal with the child being harassed, and to develop programs for sex education within the various stages of education from kindergarten to university.
