- Abstract
The is research aimed to prepare of a voluntary activity - based program, in order to improve the achievement level of science female students who studied Methods of Teaching Science Course and to adjust their attitudes toward volunteering work. The research followed the experimental quasi-experimental design of the experimental method by designing a program based on voluntary activities that related to Methods of Teaching Science (2). The sample of the study consisted of (66) female students who enrolled in Methods of Teaching Science (2) course and was chosen purposely. The sample distributed into two groups, the experimental group which consisted of (33) of which The program was implemented on without the control group which consisted of)33) students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher construct an achievement test to determine the level of female students knowledge of the course content, and a questionnaire to reveal the attitudes of students towards volunteering work. After the data was collected and statistical treatments were conducted using the T-Test, the results showed that the use a voluntary activity - based program which derived from the courses improved the level of students' academic achievement and promote their positive attitudes towards volunteering through the superiority of the experimental group on the control group. According to the findings, the researcher recommended to re-formulating the courses that are studied by science female students in the faculties of education to include training programs and volunteer activities that help these female students to acquire the skills of volunteer work, which has an impact on raising their educational achievement.
