- Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effect of teaching science using instructional strategy based on TRIZ theory on developing scientific concepts and life skills of seven grade pupils in Jordan. Experimental design was used with a random sample of (48) male pupils at Abo Nousair Secondary School during the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The sample of the study was randomly distributed into two groups, control group and experimental group. Control group pupils were taught science using the traditional way whereas the experimental group pupils were taught science using instructional strategy based on TRIZ theory. A test of scientific concepts and a life skills scale were usedafter their validity and reliability were examined, in addition to the Teacher Guide for teaching science using instructional strategy based on TRIZ theory. The findings of the study were: - There are statistically significant differences at (α= 0.05) between the mean scores of the control group and the experimental group in the post application of the test of scientific concepts, in favor of the experimental group. - There are statistically significant differences at (α= 0.05) between the mean scores of the control group and the experimental group in the post application of the life skills test, in favor of the experimental group.
