- Abstract
This correction notice addresses errors in a publication about the repellent effects of fungal volatile organic compounds (VOCs) on the banana black weevil. The correction includes a mistake in the legend for Figure 4 and clarifies that the olfactometric tests were conducted with a different compound due to availability. The corrected abstract highlights the potential use of these VOCs for managing the weevil in the field. The conclusion suggests further research to evaluate the effectiveness of new VOCs as weevil repellents. The article discusses the benefits of integrated pest management for banana crops and its potential impact on global food production. The scientific conclusions of the study remain unchanged.
