- Abstract
The community courses pre-vestibulares are initiatives for the democratization of higher education whose public are students from public schools. Thus, this research is qualitative and your objective was understand the teacher's work, therefore the academic background, professional experience and assessment of participation as volunteers in a community course located in the city Matao, in the State of São Paulo. The results showed that teachers seek to minimize the difference of learning of their students and better prepare them for the exam through lectures, discussions and practical. Therefore, those initiatives such as these volunteers have relevant contributions that students have more opportunities to enter higher education.
