The article discusses the expansion, legitimization and development of urban agriculture policies in the U.S. cities and the drafting of a comprehensive plan and amendment of the zoning resolution. Topics discussed include a background of the U.S. urban agriculture, its benefits and challenges on various aspects, the urban agriculture goals and needs of New York City and analysis of how other cities have successfully addressed their urban agriculture policy.
