- Abstract
The problem of plane wave scattering by a half-plane with different impedance boundary conditions on each face is examined using the Wiener-Hopf-Hilbert technique. For the special case where surface waves can propagate along the faces of the half-plane the determinant of the kernel matrix has poles in the cut plane, thus the Wiener-Hopf-Hilbert technique is modified to allow the usual arguments to follow through. Expressions are given for the total far field and arising surface waves for an arbitrary angle of incidence. The solution is valid for an incident surface wave for which expressions are given for the coefficients of reflection and transmission, the diffracted field and radiation diagrams.
