- Abstract
The article explores the the themes of health, nature and aesthetics of the Victorian-era, particularly as seen in the works of New Zealand artist and camp founder Cora Wilding. The article examines Wilding's girls camp, the Sunlight League, and how the activities that Wilding advocated helped develop an aesthetic that drew on an appreciation for nature and the individual's relationship with nature. The article also examines how Wilding impacted the feminist movement in New Zealand during the period.
