- Abstract
The article focuses on changes brought in the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It states that FSMA was initially introduced in January 2011 with an aim of solving various problems including dealing with the food safety problems, detection of the food-borne illness and for improving the safety of imported foods. It further focuses on those changes that became effective from January 4, 2013 for carrying food safety measures.
