- Abstract
The authors present their response to an article within the issue by D. Šljivar and D. Borić which challenges their report suggesting that a foil object discovered at the Late Neolithic and Early Copper Age site of Pločnik in Serbia, identified as tin bronze, originated in the Vinča culture settlement. Citing questions regarding the archaeological context of the tin bronze foil, they discuss the nature of ores and metallurgy that led to their interpretation challenged by other scholars. Information is also included on the history of excavations at Pločnik since 1996.
