- Abstract
Present an evaluation of an association between loratadine and hypospadias in the United States 1997-2001. How an earlier study showed that pregnant women taking Claritin (loratdine) had twice the chance of giving birth to a baby with hypospadias; Problems with the study; Data analysed by the CDC which shows no correlation between the ingestion of Claritin with birth defects; Use of nonsedating antihistamines or sedating antihistamines which was not associated with hypospadias; Limitations of the findings.
