- Title
WHERE TITLE VII STOPS: EXPLORING SUBTLE RACE DISCRIMINATION IN THE WORKPLACE.
- Authors
RITENHOUSE, DAMON
- Abstract
The article describes categories of employees who were denied proper protection by the legal system primarily focusing on the treatment of African-American workers. It cites the second generation type of discrimination that encompasses social practices and patterns of treatment that work to the detriment of the non-dominant, racial minority groups. It analyzes the goals and motivations behind Title 7 and suggests that the courts are using an outmoded concept of racial discrimination.
