- Title
Targeting cholesterol-rich microdomains to circumvent tamoxifen-resistant breast cancer.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examines whether adjuvant treatment with tamoxifen (TAM) improves survival of women with estrogen-receptor positive (ER+) tumors. It states that two genotypically matched sets of TAM-sensitive (TAMS) and TAM-resistant (TAMR) were used for assessing signal transduction events. It concludes that data which is targeting cholesterol-rich lipid microdomains have more potential to circumvent TAMR by suppressing the prosurvival signaling.
