- Abstract
The article is about India's plan to combine its strengths in Information Technology (IT) and biotechnology to build its first Biotech-IT park, and position itself as a global hub for bioinformatics. Indian bioinformatics companies have to face the challenge to generate high-margin revenues and must contribute to the economic growth of the country. The new Bio-IT Park will not only focus on low-margin service work attracting cost conscious foreign companies but also will foster the creation of high-margin patented products.
