- Abstract
One of the aims of this research is to discuss the consequences of the future forms of 'working' concept, rather than examining it in terms of short or long duration. The concept of working has historical roots and as old as human history. The origin of the concept expresses emotions like torture, effort, pain, and domination depending on the constant repetition of "work", as well as definitions that provide the employee with an identity, glorify him, and his work. Gorz defined "work" as "an invention of modernity" in the capitalist process. Is it possible to have a better life by working less by benefiting from the improvement of technical sciences today? One may easily observe through the technical facilities the human being's current intelligence may be insufficient at some levels. This study has been designed within a framework that it is possible to imagine working less without decreasing individual income under the support of a "Universal Basic Income" which is the necessity of living as a social human being.
