Examines the effects of acute exposure to weakly acidic conditions on the ability of fathead minnows and finescale dace to detect and respond to conspecific and artificial alarm pheromones. Impairment of the ability of minnows and dace to detect and respond to alarm pheromones under weakly acidic conditions; Chemical mechanism responsible for the observed loss of response.
