- Authors
Fry, Earl H.
- Abstract
The article presents an examination into the activities and priorities of the Canadian province of Quebec in regards to its foreign relations with the United States as a distinct political entity at the end of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st. A brief overview of the history of Québec's independent government relations with the U.S. is given. Several suggestions and assertions regarding Québec's future priorities and needs are then given, including the need to prioritize U.S. relations with Québec, the need to focus on economic and commercial relations, and the need to expand the foreign service sector in Québec governmental institutions.
