- Authors
Posadzki, Paul; Ernst, Edzard
- Abstract
The article surveys existing clinical literature on the effectiveness of spinal manipulations for treating cervicogenic headaches. It was found that nine randomized clinical trials (RCTs) met the inclusion criteria, but their methodological quality was mostly poor. Differences in pain, duration, and frequency of headaches compared with placebo, manipulation, physical therapy, massage, or wait list controls were not exhibited in three RCTs.
