- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines whether immunomodulator and biological therapy impair the response to influenza A (H1N1) virus vaccination in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The study utilizes 24 IBD patients who have received immunomodulator and biological therapy and blood samples were examined 1 month after receiving vaccination of influenza A (H1N1) virus. The study concludes that the vaccination offers protection against influenza in the majority of the patients.
