- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the relationship between democracy and science. It states that the goal of science is to reveal the truth about the wold, while democracy allows community members to create decisions that will reflect to their common interests. It says that the practices that develops science can also be applied to the democracy. Cosmologist Fang Lizhi believes that democracy and science requires mind independence which is needed in hypothesis formulation and testing.
