Organize Your Own Arctic Winter Games.
- Abstract
The article offers information about Arctic Winter Games which was first held in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (NWT) in 1970. Accordingly, the games are a continuation of the great gatherings of the old days where people come together to celebrate and share their culture, stories and traditional games. During the event, representatives from the NWT, the Yukon and Alaska have decided to organize an event where northern athletes would have access to high-level competitions without being overpowered. Moreover, some of the Arctic Sports played at the Arctic Winter Games were One-Foot or Two-Foot High Kick, Alaskan High Kick and One-Hand Reach.
