Present the author's views on the mythical figures of Cephalus and Odysseus in the book "Republic," by philosopher Plato which symbolize the importance of experience for true virtue. Discussion on the misinterpretation of the relation between Cephalus and Odysseus as they are not distinguished on the basis of moral experience; Information on a common distinction in German philosophy dividing moral experience into Erlebnis and Erfahrung; Suggestions on the terms which signify the train of lived subjectivity, which need not be structured by any organizing principle and the coherent connection of events or actions in accordance with a principle respectively.
