Title
RESIDUE: THE STUFF LEFT OVER AT THE END.
Abstract
The article provides information on a study conducted by researchers at the University of Birmingham, U.K., which explores the potential of tiny planktonic crustaceans known as Daphnia (water fleas) for water cleaning. These organisms were found to be effective at cleaning diclofenac, arsenic, atrazine, and PFOS from treated wastewater. The study also highlighted the scalability, low carbon footprint, and retrofittable nature of this nature-based tertiary treatment method.
