Abstract
The article focuses on the decision of the University of South Australia in Adelaide to revive a part-time associate engineering degree it previously offered in cooperation with steel company OneSteel. The decision is based on renewed interest in the course due to the growth of mining and metals production in the country. The two-year course will be offered from 2008 onwards.
