- Abstract
The Korean Ministry of Education contracted two separate research teams, one in 2007 and the other in 2008, to develop a suitable curriculum for Korean language schools. One year later, each team produced its curriculum, which consisted of two parts: general guidelines and particular guidelines. The purpose of this study was to improve these two sets of general guidelines by means of a two-step process. The first step was a modification process to coordinate the guidelines with the national curriculum of Korea; the second step was an amendment process, whereby the modified guidelines were adjusted to align with the given state of Korean language schools in the state of Florida. This paper describes these processes and ends with a summary of the improved general guidelines.
