- Abstract
The article focuses on a study regarding the used a porcine model of non-heart-beating (NHB) donor kidneys to investigate the effects of hydrogen sulphide on ischaemia-reperfusion (IR) injury. It notes that hydrogen sulphide improved the renal dysfunction that was linked with ischaemic damage. It further stresses that it has the potential to be utilized as a therapy against IR injury in NHB donor kidney transplantation.
