- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined how social networking facilitates adolescent grieving following the sudden death of a peer. The study focuses on the profile of adolescents who posted comments and blogs who appeared to have known the deceased. The result showed that the unlimited availability of online social networking sites created a virtual community which many assist surviving adolescents in the emotional grieving and coping processes.
