The article offers news briefs related to law in Scotland. Lord Alan Rodger of Earlsferry has died on June 26, 2011 due to the effects of a brain tumour. Fifty-eight-year-old Anne Muir has been announced by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service as the first person in the country to be convicted for illegally sharing music files online. Doctor Andrew Steven has been announced on June 13, 2011 as a member of the Scottish Law Commission.
