- Abstract
The essay discusses the rehabilitation of inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) in the Philippines by learning and performing their adaptation of the "Thriller" music video's dance routine created by singer Michael Jackson. Topics include the work of philosopher Michel Foucault, issues of sexuality in the music video and in the dance routine of the prisoners, and choreographic aspects of colonialism, otherness, and gender.
