- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents a study on energy dissipative and storage applications of discontinuous deformation in an elastic material. It aims to show that numerous applications can be derived from proving that energy dissipation is possible from perfectly elastic materials including elastomers. The applications include using torque controllers and torque converters in automobiles instead of friction-based mechanisms. The article provides an overview of the process of energy dissipation from elastic materials and its applications.
