The article reports on the newly established Gaobeidian coal-fired power plant in Beijing run by Huaneng Group Corp. that positioned China at the forefront of coal technology lagging behind U.S. and Europe. The reaction of Kelly Sim Galagher, an expert in China energy at Harvard University, to China's success in installing advanced technology is also mentioned.
