- Abstract
The article reports on the list of possible landing sites in Mars of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Mars Science Laboratory. It states that the sites were identified as part of the laboratory's focus on evaluating the areas for its plan to land in the planet in October 2010. The laboratory aims to land in a site where the rover can travel smoothly as well as address the windy conditions on the planet's surface. Furthermore, it states that two sites have been included in the list where further study concerning the risks related to the sites' wind will be carried out.
