The article focuses on the behavioral neuroscience using the fruitfly as a model to investigate human traits like attention span. The scientist who conducted the experiments is Bruno van Swinderen who also performed the test on two fly mutants-dunce and rutabhaga. Details of the tests and results are provided. The article says that further analysis of both gene and enzyme is needed to understand what it takes to grab human attention.
