- Abstract
As one of the important covering parts outside the truck body, the front cover has high material requirements. Sheet molding comound (SMC) has the advantages of high strength, small specific gravity, strong designability and corrosion resistance, and has become the preferred material for truck front cover. According to the characteristics of the product structure, a set of fixed multi-cavity semi-overflow mold was designed, and the heating system, demoulding mechanism, side core-pulling mechanism, core and core cavity were designed. Through the design of the cavity matching form, the filling effect of SMC sheet is improved, and the products with uniform density and good surface quality can be obtained. The 'straight through+well type' heating pipe is adopted to keep the mold temperature uniform and ensure the uniform curing of the product in the mold. The demoulding mechanism of 'push rod + push pipe' is adopted to make the demoulding force evenly distributed. The embedded parts are positioned by the push pipe core, which simplifies the mould structure. The production verification shows that the mold structure is reasonable, the mold can continuously complete the clamping, ejection, reset and other actions, and the shape of the molded product is stable.
