- Title
Registration of Chinese Protestant House Churches Under China's 2005 Regulation on Religious Affairs: Resolving the Implementation Impasse.
- Authors
Homer, Lauren B.
- Abstract
The article presents information on Protestant Christian house churches in China, as of January 2010. It is said that the Chinese Regulations on Religious Affairs document, published in 2005, seemed to offer these churches an opportunity to become legally registered, but this has not been the case in practice. However, the Communist rulers of China have indicated that they are not inclined to actively persecute such churches. This is contrasted with their persecution of Tibetan Buddhists, Xinjiang Uyghur Muslims and members of the Falun Gong sect.
